Imara NFT — the first ethnic NFT marketplace on Everscale

Not long ago, we had an AMA session with the team behind the first African ethnic NFT marketplace on Everscale — Imara NFT. It was created to support local artists, using EVER as the base currency and supporting the TrueNFT standard for smart contracts.

Let’s dive a little deeper into what else is interesting about Imara, and why it’s important to the Everscale ecosystem.

Uniqueness of the project

First of all, this project’s uniqueness lies in the fact that the marketplace is primarily focused on African artists and foundations. Another of its features is that it aims to create a team-based collection unified by different themes or characteristics.

What does this mean? It means that as there are 54 countries in Africa, the project team has plans to organize everything so that local team members and local communities from each country can share their works featuring the landscapes, sceneries, wildlife, national parks, and different unique histories that are specific to the place they live in.

Users will be able to see all of this on Imara in special sections dedicated to individual countries when the works come in from the local projects and teams. In addition, the team plans to launch community-oriented philanthropic courses when they have the information they need related to each specific culture.

Finally, Imara has a roadmap that it endeavors to follow. By this stage, the team already has an impressive infrastructure built up. Right now, it is actively engaging NFT enthusiasts, hosting workshops, and educating the community as to how to interact with the marketplace.

A particular focus of the project is marketing, for which a special team has been created, as well as community support teams and advertising and creative departments. Moreover, as the project develops and new users become involved in it, there will be trainers, who will teach people with different levels of user experience how to interact with Imara.

Referral system

It is also worth noting that the team has created an exciting referral system, which makes this project attractive not only for artists and painters, but also for promoters, fans, and friends.

This means anyone can join Imara and create a kind of business structure with a referral code and earn money, getting a percentage of sales.

To start earning, you need to connect to the system (register) with EVER Wallet and send your referral code to someone who might be interested in it. The platform thus allows you to earn 2.5% of all sales made by the people you invite.

In addition, the referral code cannot be changed, which allows creators to find the best referral code users — people who have actually succeeded in selling NFTs.

Also, the dynamic price settings may be of interest to artists. For example, from August 20 to 30, NFTs will be for sale at one price, and after August 30, this will increase by 25% or decrease by 10% for the weekend. This is all possible thanks to the smart contracts that the marketplace supports.

Imara’s immediate development area

The team additionally has plans to add more authorization methods, among which will be the Surf and Scale wallets, so that users can have more choice for how to log in. Also during the AMA, a representative of the team noted that in the marketplace there is the technical capability to put up files in MP3 or MP4 format, as they store everything in the IP-file data. Perhaps in the near future, this idea involving the new formats will be made a reality.

To conclude, we can say that the African continent, which is so rich in unique cultures and art, is opening up to the world thanks to Imara and Everscale. The referral system accelerates this process, acting as a solid strategy to attract not only artists, but also those who will further attract more users to the platform.
